A private members bill is due for it's second reading on Friday 19th April. it has been brought by Owen Thompson of the Scottish National Party who has been a great supporter of the Nuclear Veterans over many years.
The first reading was held on the 11th of December 2023.
The bill is to require the Secretary of State to publish proposals for a compensation scheme for veterans who have experienced ill health as a result of exposure to radiation while on active service.
